Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 26, 2026

SkillsBIT IT Solutions & Services Academy ("SkillsBIT", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your rights, when you use our website, IT and managed services, and online Academy. We operate from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and aim to handle personal data in line with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and other applicable regional regulations.

1. Information We Collect

Account information you provide: your full name, email address, phone number, company name, account role (client, partner, or learner), and an optional profile photo. We also store your email-verification status. Passwords are stored only in encrypted (hashed) form. We never see your plain password.

Academy activity: the courses you enrol in, your progress, and certificates you earn.

Service & support data: support tickets you open, project records related to your engagements, and the details you submit through our contact form (name, email, phone, company, the service you're interested in, and your message).

Technical data: limited information such as your browser and device type, and aggregated usage analytics that help us understand how the site is used.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and secure your account; deliver the IT services and courses you request; respond to your enquiries and, where relevant, convert an enquiry into a project; send essential service emails such as email verification, password resets, and support replies; and to maintain and improve the platform.

Our legal bases under the PDPL are your consent, the performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate business interests. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in (authentication tokens), remember your language (English/Arabic) and theme (light/dark) preferences, cache your profile for faster loading, and remember which notifications you have read. We use only minimal, privacy-respecting analytics.

You can clear this data through your browser settings, though some features may stop working without it.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate (such as cloud hosting and email-delivery providers) under agreements that require them to protect it and use it only for the purposes we specify; when required by law or by a competent authority; or to protect our rights and the safety of our users. We do not sell or rent your data.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet our legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.

6. Security

We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, token-based authentication, and access controls. While no system is completely secure, we work continuously to safeguard your information and will notify you and the relevant authority of a significant personal-data breach as required by law.

7. Your Rights

Under the PDPL and applicable laws, you may request to access, correct, update, or delete your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; and obtain a copy of your data. You can manage much of your profile directly from your dashboard, or contact us to exercise any right.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority.

8. International Transfers

Because we work across the MENA region, Europe, and North America and use cloud providers, your data may be processed outside your country, including outside Saudi Arabia or the UAE. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with the PDPL.

9. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for users aged 18 and over, or for minors using them with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18 without such consent; if you believe we have, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page with a revised "last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you through the Services.

11. Data Controller & Contact

SkillsBIT IT Solutions & Services Academy is the controller responsible for your personal data. For any privacy request or question, contact us at info@skilsbit.com.
